Kennedy Malec is a multidisciplinary artist residing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is a full time student at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design pursuing her BFA in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Print, Paper, and Book.

Kennedy's current body of work mirrors grief within interpersonal relationships with wilderness spaces through intricate mark-making on fragile material such as glass and mylar to depict a ghostly, catastrophic scene for the viewer to enter. Kennedy seeks guidance within these false wildernesses in order to reflect and grow from parental turmoil. Imagery of abstracted topographical maps, the Pagami Creek Fire, and deceased deer are frequently referenced throughout her work.
